Default Need Help on Clutch Adjustment

Hi guys
Need help on my clutch adjustment on my 2012 Fatboy.. After I adjusted my clutch i went for a ride.. After 60 miles i noticed my clutch cable has more play in it.. Do i do it all over or just tighten the cable only.?

Thanks

Just adjust the cable free play and see if the clutch engages/disengages where you want it.

If you have more play in the lever, make sure that you have the jam not on the free play adjuster on there right.

Loosen the jam nut at the cable adjuster. Pull the lever a few times and inspect the gap. Adjust the cable 1/4 turns until there is no gap, do not over tighten. Pull the lever a few times and double check. Now adjust the cable in 1/4 turns until you attain the 1/16-1/4" gap. Pull the lever a few more times and double check the gap. Tighten the cable jam once satisfied. Quite a few videos on youtube to help you, 'How to adjust a harley clutch'.

Make sure you check/ adjust the clutch when the bike is COLD! Tolerances change when the clutch warms up.
