Local dealer quoted my friend 10 hrs to change to Harley tall boy bars. No intn'l wiring. No cable changes req. 06 E-Glide. 10 HOURS!!!
Needless to say he laughed and walked.

I just did my wife's Forty Eight last night, added Hollywood bars. I didn't change a thing, cable wise. But, I did run her wires internally... That was one of the easy parts. Her bike is a '14 and the connectors are tiny. Slid right through (no tight angles, no corners either!).

When I popped 'em on at first, i thought the clutch and throttle cables would be too short to run between the headlight and triple trees, like they are stock. But, I was wrong... I had to feed them BACK through. That turned my hour and a half of leisurely paced work into three hours with her giving me the stink eye about ten minutes from being done.

Had I left well enough alone with the damn cables, I probably could have been done in under an hour. But, I didn't do any new cables or wires, extensions, etc. And she already has a tank lift. It was cake.

That sounds like no internal wiring, no cable replacement, etc. Just unbolt the controls, and clamp, and swap the bars. I could see that all being two hours charge.

But def more than two hours if going taller and internal, longer cables, etc.
