Just got in my new pipes for my 07 NT now I need to plug the O2 sensor holes...What can I use?

Best thing would be some stainless steel pipe plugs.

 

Would a pipe plug be too obvious of an answer?

You get em at your local hardware store or Lowes.

Ask someone...they'll get you the right thing.

Take an O2 sensor with you so you know you have the right size.

 

I purchased a pair of zinc-plated plugs from this outfit. They also have stainless ones if that's what you prefer.

I'm not sure a home improvement store like Lowe's would have the proper size as it's pretty much a vehicle-specific size. If you want to buy locally, you'd be better off going to an auto parts store. The size/thread is 18mm x 1.5mm.

 

Do what Hammer said, just take an O2 sensor to Lowes or Home Depot and get a couple of short stainless steel bolts the same size. If you can't find any that are only 1/2" or so long. Get longer ones and use a hacksaw and grinder to cut them shorter and use a soft copper washer as a gasket.

BTW I believe it may be a metric thread,not a tapered pipe thread, so getting a plumbing pipe plug that fits right might be difficult.

 

It's 18 * 1.5 mm.

 

Thanks for the info, I though I remembered something about them being metric, but I wasn't sure what the actual thread size was.

 

Auto parts store help section. Oil pan drain Plug. Use copper washer. Used this setup on many V&H pipes on a VTX.
