Default Seat?

I have a 2006 Deluxe. The stock seat kills me it pushes me forward to much. So I installed a 2006 Fatboy seat and the seating position is much better. However the fatboy seat a a lil hard. The seat I really like is the one off the Heritage Classic . Good seating position and feels good. The issue I have is the Deluxe has the two studs that stick up through the rear fender. The 2006 Fatboy or Heritage seat for fine as a solo seat. But when I install the rear pillion now there is a gap between the front seat and the rear pillion. Looks like crap. I believe it's because the 2000-2006 Fatboy and Heritage Classic seats mount from the sides not the top like the Deluxe seat that mounts like the 2007-2014 models to the two studs sticking up through the rear fender. So my question is will. Newer model lik like a 2007-2015 Heritage classic seat fit my 2006 Deluxe properly? I would greatly appreciate any help on this.

Thanks

I think as long as you purchase the mount that comes up from the bottom thru the rear fender I think you are good. I purchased one for my 06 Heritage and installed a 2012 Deluxe seat and pillion...loved the look, but very uncomfortable. Went back to my Heritage seat and removed all the chrome studs..Actually I have the bracket with the chrome threaded ***** you need. This way you can go solo or double up..Hit me up if you decide to go this way...

I bolted together my seat and passenger pillion from my 09 Heritage.

From the front tab of the rider's seat to the two fender bolt holes it measured about 21".
From the two fender bolt holes to the center of the rear mounting hole in the passenger pillion it measures about 12 3/8".

I'm not sure if the pictures will help you or not but at least I tried.

Good luck and ride safe!!!

Update! I ended up buying a seat off of a 2011 Heritage it fit perfectly. I I noticed the 2006 deluxe mounts to the two studs that stick up through the fender as my 2012 deluxe did. So using that logic I bought the 2011 Heritage seat fits perfect and most of all feels perfect! Ashnic just as you stated as well;-)
