Exclamation I bought some V&H Long Shot

pipes off of Ebay . I put them on my 05 Deluxe that is EFI and i got a fuel pak from a forum member. Did the install today of the EFI and went for about a five mile ride. The fuel pak seems to be programmed right. No popping except on decel going down a hill but it is at minimum . They are louder than i wanted them to be. I can see a thin looking baffle in each pipe. Anyone here know what i can do to quieten them down some? I am going to call V&H tomorrow and see what they recommend .

Thanks

DKCustoms Thunder Torque Inserts helped quiet mine down when I had Longshots.

BCT QQ baffles are designed to quiet them down a bit but not lose any tq. I had them in my Rinehart True Duals and they sounded great.

how much do you want to quiet them down? The DK thunder inserts knock it down some but not a huge difference like a quiet baffle. I like loud but not crazy loud so the thunder inserts work for me.

I did the same thing as you. I install Vance & Hines Stealth baffles. Took the harshness out. It's a lot better sounding. Not quieter just more mellow.

I just bought the same pipes, not off ebay. I also hated the sound. But after the new baffles I really like them. Great mellow sound.
