My 2016 Breakout

My 2016 Breakout
I've been poking around the site for a few days but never had a chance to post my recent addition to the family. Anyway, here she is.
Just two weeks old. Been raining every day since I got her. Only put 230 miles since picking her up. But it was a good time to do some mods. So far I have done the following:
- Custom Dynamic LED turn signal inserts
- Cobra Speedster Short Swept exhaust
- V&H Fuel Pak3
- Custom Dynamic LED brake light bar
- Back Off brake light flasher
- rotated the license plate mount - vertical
- PIAA ultra bright headlight bulb replacement
- chrome adjustable levers from hogslevers.com
The turn signals are daytime running lights in white but turn yellow when I activate the turn signals. The lenses are smoke. Cobra exhaust sounds amazing, and loud even with baffles on, and has lifetime warranty. FP3 is on autotune and so far it's working like expected. The rear brake light bar was a simple install. Just remove the reflector, drill a hole in the plate for wiring, tap into the connectors and voila. PIAA bulbs make a huge difference. No need to swap to Daymaker. Cost me just $40.00. Adjustable levers are perfect for smaller hands.
The bike still looks stock but the enhancements have made a huge difference in safety and comfort. Next weekend I'm installing the Burly easy pull kit to help with the arthritis that seems to be forming on my left injured hand.
Took some quick pics on my iphone. thoughts?

thanks. I thought the same and almost went for the Street Glide. I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam but bike seems to fit me perfectly. very comfortable ride. takes some getting used to as far as cornering is concerned (coming from sport bikes and all) but after awhile it seems to handle pretty well. very predictable. hopefully the burly kit will make the bike really shine. You picked a nice bike. enjoy.

This is what I ended up with. Did the 200 tire on rear and switched to a wider 23" up front. Lowered, pull back drags, V&H, Screaming Eagle, moved directionals to triple trees and some powder coating, Fat Daddy spoked wheels and had controls moved to the middle position to fit me.

To be honest the front wheel and tire are so much heavier than stock that it makes the whole front end heavy and a bit harder to control. I believe it changed the whole geometry of the big but not for the better. If I had it to do all over again I would have gone with the same width tire on a 21" wheel ( and also saved myself $700 for making the jump from 21 to 23!!). I have a 2014 CVO Road King and although its almost a couple hundred pounds heavier its much easier to ride. Lower center of gravity and different weight distribution. I just got back from the dealership and while I was there I sat on the 2016 CVO Pro Breakout. Bars are not as much of a reach. I had contemplated getting it when I was buying the Road King but can't justify the extra 10K and not have the bike exactly how I want it. The front end of the CVO Breakout has inverted forks also. Reminds me of a rice rocket. I'm sure it handles well but too far from traditional for me.
