Default FXST rear fender on a Fat Boy..

Hey guys, looking for your opinion..

I'm about to take delivery of a new Fat Boy S, I'm preparing my build and really would like to do something about that big ol' fender back there. I came across this photo, the bike was put together by a dealer in Australia. Bolt on installation, '10 FXST rear fender with a LED taillight. Looks pretty awesome if you ask me. I wish I could have found a side view shot.

What do you guys think?

Looks better than what it comes with, remember years ago Harleys themselves had a magazine ad of a Fatboy with a similar setup, personally though if I was going to the trouble of changing the fender I'd go for a Heartlands one.

Looks good. looks like it would bolt right on if you get a fender from an fxst with the 200 rear tire. you may have to switch the wiring harness to the one on your bike now.

When i first got my FB I thought about putting the bobtail on it, wanting to show off that fat tire, but the more I thought about it, the more I liked the curves of the front fender and rear fender. I still wonder, but not gonna happen now that I put bags on.

FYI, the FB used to have the option of bobtail, back when spokes were an option as well.

My dad did just the opposite last year. It's a direct bolt on.

A bloke at my work bought this actual bike from Harley City in Brunswick. (Aus) And it looks better in the flesh! Bet it goes nicely being a Fatboy S also.

My own build is getting the same treatment. I am going to start my own thread re my build soon........... Maybe tonight.

Interesting builds with the bobtail fenders, been hoping HD would rerelease the softail custom or standard but a FB lo with the bobtail would be sweet!
So A bobtail fender from a softail custom is a direct bolt on for a FB or FB lo
Both having same width rear tire (200)?

So did I, I felt the FXST fender was to feminine for me. I kept wanting to sit when I pissed. LOL
