Hey I'm looking at the Firestone/Coker ANS tires for the rear wheel of my 2000 FXSTS. The current tire is a 150/80/16. (roughly 6" wide) The largest ANS is 5" wide for a 16" wheel. The way I understand it is the width is the distance between the sidewalls at the widest point. I believe my stock rim is 3" wide. I should be ok right? would I have any problems running this tire on my bike?
I'm running a Dunlop 140/90/16 rear tire on my 2000 FXSTS. Not sure of the exact width, but it's well under 6". I believe the 140 was the stock tire on the early FXSTS. Love the old school skinny rear tire look.
