Exclamation disarming security 2005 deluxe

When I hold the 2 turn signals as per the manual I do not have the option to enter my new pin. I do not want to be stranded if the fob loses battery or is lost. Please can anyone help, cheers

Describe the sequence that you used, then maybe one of us can see where its going wrong.

Make sure you're ignition switch is in the ACC (accessories) position.

Edit: Never mind. Looks like that's just for my RK. I assumed it would be the same for all models. What was I thinking?

Thanks for this
I followed the manual instructions:
Ignition to Acc and both turn signals at the same time, the odometer does not change from the mileage
Hope this helps

See the attachment that 1004ron included in post #2. Try turning the ignition to IGNITION instead of ACCESSORY and hitting both turn signals.

The instructions that 1004ron posted are correct. The trick is to be fast at pressing the two turn signal buttons after you flip the ignition on. If you're slow, your flashers will flash and the red light will come on and stay on, on the dash. If that happens, you have to wait for the alarm system to go back to monitoring and the red light must be off. I just did mine and it took me three tries to get into the code. I just wasn't fast enough on the signal buttons. Oh, and you can't do this you have your fob in your pocket.

One question. Are you trying to enter an existing code or enter a new code? I'll have to do some digging on how to enter a new code. I did mine years ago.

Edit: Have a look at this video. The guy explains how to enter the code to start the bike and how to change th code. Ignore his accent..

Hi Pitbull Dallas,

I set up a new code as I have just bought the bike; per the manual ; ignition on-off-on-off-on left turn x 2 key fob x 2 left turn x 1 and then enter each number with the left turn confirming with key fob x 2 ignition off to set confirmed.

Just to add to my previous post that each digit of the code in turn requires a double click of the key fob.

In conclusion for anyone who is a thick as me!!!!!

Turning ignition to acc and depressing both indicators I was waiting for the odometer to register the 5 zeros and then was going to enter the code.

Please do not wait, as soon as the security light flashes at speed start entering the code, left flash to enter, right flash to confirm. Once all digits have been entered the alarm is disengaged and you are ready to go. hope this helps someone else out there.
