I was thinking BRCustoms Pro Street bars. Or maybe some Batwings. Br is pricey though.

My first bike had apes... But that was the early 80's and I was pretty young and thought it was the coolest. Even if my hands did fall asleep every now and then.

My last bike had apes when I bought it.... I couldn't wait to get rid of them. I ended up finding a great deal on a take off set of Indian Beach Bars. I loved them. They were kinda wide to get through some places, like the gate to my backyard at the time. But, they were super comfortable for long rides and around town. I really liked the rather relaxed position it put you in. Arms well below your shoulders, and no reach or stretch forward.

I just sold the bike two days ago and I've been looking at new and newer used bikes, all softails. I gotta say, I like the kinda beachy feel of the '16 Deluxe handlebars and the slimmer Hollywood bars on the Slims. I've tried a few heritages out and I don't really care for the bars. If I go with a Heritage, I'll be changing the bars rather quickly.

I am also kinda sick of seeing apes. I was wondering if it was a local trend, but it seems others see it as well.

Also worth noting that simply rotating bars forward or backwards can make a big difference. I was having severe back pain but after rotating them forward a couple of inches, I am very comfortable and pain free.

I rotated my stock deluxe beach bars down somewhat and they are great for me. Might pick up a pair of those pretty cheap.
