Whoops, I shoulda read what you wrote before asking. The pic caught my eye. re. the spacer did you get that WITH the wheels or did you have to order it seperately? Did you get the wheels locally or from the US?

I swapped out the stock 160mm for a 200mm Metz on my 07 Deuce. The 200mm fits with the stock swingarm but i needed to change the belt out for a narrower one (which involved removing the swingarm and taking the primary apart). I'm also running a chromed lower belt guard and the HD part for the 2007 doesn't fit if you go for the 200mm and you'll need to use the 2006 version... i think the dealer who did the install for me also needed to grind a bit of it out to ensure clearance. My rim is an 18 x 5.5 Arlen Ness and a spacer was also required to keep it all centred but i don't have dimensions on the spacer - it will be determined by the rim and hub you run. You'll also need to check clearance under the rear fender. Consider also the requirements of the pulley (width).
Here's the changeover parts needed from HD:
- New belt - 40655-06
- Oil seal inner primary - 12052A
- Gasket primary housing - 34934-06
- Gasket primary cover - 60547-06
- Lubricant (quart) - 99851-05
- 06 lower belt guard - 60316-00A
As part of the changeover process i had my dealer fit a 180mm (cheaper option as it's a straight swap for the 160mm) and then fit the 200mm. The 200mm fills the fender up much more. Seeing them side by side I went with the 200mm... the 20mm isn't a lot but it is noticeable. There's a photo of the rear in my gallery.

No worries... i bet you'll be hard pressed to find anyone who's done some customisations who doesn't want to talk about it again and again and again. The spacer was fitted by the dealer and sourced here on Oz. It's a simple steel spacer we sent out to be chromed. As it was the last piece that made all the others fit we couldn't order one as no one know how the new 07 would go for size under the rear fender so we waited till all parts were received and then addressed the issue - size will be dependant on the rim and hub used plus the year and model of bike. Too many multiples to consider.
The rims... quite the saga. They (with the matching rotors and pulley) were the only parts i sourced in Australia, partly as once i'd settled on Arlen Ness Evil 7 i found out they refused to ship them to Australia direct to customers and i had to use a wholesaler, and partly given a few things i'd read online about chrome rims sometimes being off colour or not up to standard i wanted the safety net of being able to return them if there was an issue. The bike being an 07 everything was also a new size and i didn't want to order the wrong bit and have to pay to ship it back to the USA. I ordered them via the dealer in late Feb, they arrived here in mid May!!!. I bugged the ***** out of Cassons (AN wholesaler) the whole time... if you've ever tried buying anythig from a dealer you'd be aware how it feels like they're doing you the favour by talking to you.

As has been said, there are several ways to do it. With the Deuce, the stock fender will work. My 'Train has a strutless 9" fender on it with the frame horns removed. Like Chops, I chose to keep the stock belt. In fact, I have the stock swingarm, and brake caliper as well. I changed the wheels to RC Comp wheels. 18x5.5 in the rear with matching pulley. All it takes is a little creative engineering and it will fit. You've got an easy one to do. I did the same deal for my buddies 06 Deuce. Good luck.

I went with the DM Customs solution and it bolted right up with a stock belt and pulley. I think it looks great! I have several pics posted here:
