Hi Folks,

I've got a Softail Slim and considering the S&S Teardrop Air Cleaner, I've browsed youtube but I've never seen one with my own eyes fitted to an Softail.

When comparing with the OEM air cleaner in terms of width is it less or more? (I guess more, but much more?)

My knee does get a bit close to the OEM filter as it is, so wondering if the S&S won't get in the way when riding.

I have the S&S Teardrop Air Cleaner on my bike and no it does not get in the way at all when riding.

 

Had one on my FXR, now I've got one on my Nightrain,like Rick58 on neither bike did it get in the way of my leg, the TC a/c cover is around 2 1/2" wide the Teardrop is 2 3/4" wide.

I have the S&S Super A/C on my Slim and it's actually just a little narrower than the stock A/C - no problems at all.

 

I've had one on an '04 Fatboy for awhile with no problems. Seems to stick out a little more than stock.

 

I am a 1" taller filter & spacer on mine with no clearance issues.
