Always knew this to be a worth while mod. Just never thought about doin it on a HOG.
Also recommending a 2:1 exhaust for you.
Depending on what you wanna spend. But NO need to break the bank here... I went with Rush. Check out their Wrath. Start with the 2.5" baffle. The swap it out for the 3" after engine work is you need more volume.
+1 on the Wrath being a good exhaust but it is probably not the best for a stock 96". I run a Wrath with 2.5' baffle on my 10.7:1 compression 103" build and could have went with the smaller 2.25" baffle to shift torque more to the left. A stock 96" or even a a 96 with cams should probably stick with an exhaust with 2.25" baffle. Longer exhaust also tend to help build more low end torque than short pipes.
I bet once you gear it down you will be happy for a while.

I've got the 2 into 1 exhaust done. However I went with a style I liked and it's likely not the best choice as far as building torque and horsepower (a price I am willing to pay for the look I wanted). This is a newer pic than the one in my signature. I'm waiting until the street sweeper clean up all of the road gravel from the winter months and then I'll take a few more pics with the mods I did over the winter months..... it's transformed quite a bit from both of these photos.
