Default Help with adding LED turn signals

2013 Heritage Softail. I did email Custom Dynamics this week. It's now the weekend and they are closed.

Question, do I need a Stabilizer for a 2013 Heritage? Is it in fact a Can Bus system?

I am ordering LED turn signals for front and rear and also getting Custom Dynamics triple play run/brake/turn.

Thanks

I believe you will need a load equalizer . I have a 2011 Blackline and can have either front OR rear switched to LED but for both I was told I need an equalizer .

Going off of what their websites states, you do not need one because your bike has a BCM.

I believe so...2014+ was a change in electrical not requiring load balancer. If you don't want to wait until Mon, order it & return if not needed...JMO.

I have LED's front and rear on my 2013 Slim and did not need an equalizer.

On my '13 Blackline, they said I didn't NEED a load equalizer for them to work. All it does is it keeps the dash light from flashing fast, after a few regular flashes. So I left it off.

Bikes with CAN-bus do not use a load equalizer, only pre-CAN-bus bikes use them. A load equalizer will do nothing on a CAN-bus bike, the BCM module already sees the lower resistance of the led bulbs and adjusts itself automatically. The led turn signals will flash normally, but your dash indicators will blink 2x as fast. AFAIK there is no way to have the dash indicators blink at a normal rate.

I was told that by Custom Dynamics for my '13 Slim.
First they said I needed one, then they said I didn't.
They included their "can-bus adapter" in the kit they sold me, I installed it and it didn't seem to make any difference.
I still get "burned out lamp" codes with it as well as without it.

All you have to do is reset the CAN BUS. With the motor off and IGN switch on, run the hazards for 5-6 minutes. Turn everything off and the next time you turn it all on the dash lights will blink normally and you won't get anymore burned out light codes.
