Samson actually sold. Transitioning can be a biatch. Dont know the name of the original owner, but he will stay on and help new owner. So there will be issues.
Something to keep in mind

 

I mounted a Baffled 33" True Dual system on my Deluxe just a couple weeks ago.
Everything was OK with the parts and Chrome.
I'm very happy about the sound of my scoot now, very nice sound with this system.
The only thing I would say is that, fitting it to the bike was a pain in the *** especially for the rear cylinder pipe.
Also the Shifter Linkage system needs to be revisited because is not fitting perfectly but this is a minor issue.
At the end, I'm very happy about it.

There are at least a 1/2 dozen threads describing the poor quality and customer service issues with Samson exhaust systems. This is not new and has been known for some time now (well before the company got sold). Why anyone would buy from them at this point is beyond me especially considering all the other high quality manufacturers there are without the negatives Samson is well known for.

 

I bought a set of longtails in Nov, looked like a chimp with a belt sander did the prep, sent them back, cost $60 return shipping.
from Amazon, Sampson said they had nothing but the best chrome, didnt have an excuse though.

 

After reading these posts I'm sooooo glad I went with V&H for my fishtail exhaust. Fit &finish, looks and sound are great 😀

 

Yeah, they have lost a valuable customer. This is the last time I deal with a company that has probably the worse customer service I've ever dealt with. They would be better off just having a automated system thate you have to scream at over and over. At least then they would have a excuse. LMAO

 

I went through my local shop (Big Bird's Big Twins in Ridgeway, VA) ordering mine and had absolutely no problems at all. Very satisfied with my 39's. Didn't run into any of the aforementioned issues. Got here within half a week, fit up fine and sound great. In fact, I'm trying to figure out how to modify motor/pipes for even more noise. Loud pipes save lives, and Sampsons are definitely loud! So loud in fact Bird didn't want to sell them to me at first!
