I have a new 3.5" 21" front rim with a new front fender and now I need it painted black pearl.


I've gotten 2 quotes on painting it.
1 guy wanted me to get the paint from HD at $209.87 a quart and he would paint it for $225 - $250


2nd guy quoted me $500 and if pearl $80 more.


This seems high to paint 1 piece what do you guys think?
Any suggestions?

 

Prep and clean up is the same for one part or 20. If you added a rear fender I bet the cost would barely go up.

 

Very little prep is needed on one of these if it's new unpainted. I had my Slicer front fender on my Softail done vivid black for under $150 with a Dupont paint. Any skilled painter can color match black pearl without using the HD paint. I had my Street Glide done Midnight Pearl and I think it looks better than the OEM color.

 

Well I found someone to do it for $300. I was kind of surprised when I walked in with it and he said, "Oh it's a front fender!"
Ok so was the quote for a rear fender and this one will be cheaper
