rocker B. new member. I just bought a rocker C. 2010. been looking at options for the rear fender fix. geez the price tag. I too got a danny grey solo and see you have the thunder bike fender. I didnt know you could just get the fender. It seems to look just fine. And you have drag bars. I'm 5'10 and was wondering about the lowering shocks, fender and drag bars. How your reach? I'm trying to figure out what to do and worried about putting drag bars on and of course lowering the bike and if that'll mess up my reach to both bars and footpegs. could you tell me a little about how it all worked out for you? I just really do not like the stock bars and want either drag or apes. looking at Burly 7'' drag bars. I wanted to PM you but can't seem to find it in my profile. would love to talk more about options. you got one bad *** bike. My biggest issue with this bike is the rear fender/lights and the handle bars.

Hi Sptrocker! Yes, I bought just the fender from Thunderbike, and the DG seat fits like it was made for it! I have the integrated run/brake/turn lights, but they also have a model with no spaces or holes for lights, if you want to put them someplace else. There are some cheaper thinner fenders available, but I like the Thunderbike both for looks, and because it's made with very thick/heavy steel. It could easily hold the weight of a passenger if you wanted to stick a pillion seat on it.

I'm about the same height as you and I'm very comfortable with the drag bars. The Wild 1 bars I have are 30.5" wide, 8.5" to center with a 7" pullback and the reach feels just right, so if the Burly bars are similar, I'm sure you'll be happy! I also have the rear lowered about 1.75" with the Progressive 422 shocks, and the ride is still better than stock....and thanks for the compliment!!

this is the burly specs. pretty close to what you have.
width 33. 5
pull back 6.75
center is 9

guess I can't PM b/c of being a new member. I like to talk about some fender info. I did get a quote from thunderbike but that was for fender, shocks and seat. Didn't realize I could keep the DG seat and just do the fender. I'm guessing you have to lower it to get fender close to the tire? I called someone local. waiting for call back. want to see if I can get one fabricated just like stock just shorter, keep the same distance off tire. If that's possible I want to see what price is. So far, places I've seen it's 2k plus.

Ya, not sure how many posts before you can pm, I think 5...and yes I lowered it to keep the gap small. A lot of guys cut down the stock, swing arm mounted fender, some look great, others not good at all. If you can do the work yourself it would cost very little, but even having it done would be a lot cheaper then having one fabricated.

Like RockerB said a lot of people chop the stock fender and if done right it can look really good. Also if you put a 260 tire on it helps to close the stock gap a little more and really fills out the stock fender nicely. I too was thinking about just fabricating a new fender and mounting it like the stock one to the swingarm to keep the small gap to the tire but I haven't decided yet if I am going to do that or just chop the stock one.
