I believe it!! Thanks to Google and the penny trick...or I'd probably still be me fighting that thing!!

Here's few pics with the new lowered kickstand and chrome spring installed, it works great, big improvement!! I didn't need the big black rubber stop with my open belt drive, so I filled the hole with a small plastic plug, until I get a chrome one...

So, when parked, the 1" lowered kickstand puts the lean angle back to about where it was when the bike was at stock height with the stock stand. With the stock stand, after lowering the bike, if I turned the bars to the right, it would sit right at the tipping point.... a strong breeze would have pushed it over!! Best thing is, now I won't have to avoid parking where there's ANY down slope to the right ... which is WAY too common around here.

The difference isn't very noticeable to the eye, but that -1" really moves a lot of weight to the left.... here's a couple before/after pics.

Just purchased an 09 Rocker C and I am planning on using S&S 583 EZ start Cams in my build. If I read correctly your motor is stock other than the cams?

Yes, stock, except for the S&S cams, lifters, adjustable pushrods, and Torrington cam bearings...and I'm VERY happy with the 583s!!!

HI Rocker B...just stopped in for a quick look at your great thread, and wanted to ask a question.

For some reason I can't see the pictures you post here anymore. Even when I "right click" on them, it comes back as "The State of California has determined that these photos contain substances known to the State of California to cause cancer in snail darters, spotted owls, and illegal aliens"...actually it says they're hosted on an "unsecure server", or some such thing, and I can't view them.

IF, however, I slide my cursor all the way down to the "https" in the address bar, and remove the "s" from the "https", then, reenter that, your pictures come up nice and clear...and your bike looks great, by the way.

The problem is, I have to do that with each and every picture...bummer!

I've "googled" for an answer, and tried some of the less complicated ones, such as "clear the DNS", but, so far, no luck.

Evidently, several other members have this same problem viewing all the great pictures guys post of their bikes, and, even though we post the problem in the sticky "Forum Issues" thread, all we seem to get back is "crickets"...in other words, nada, zero, nothing for a solution to this annoying problem.

Do you, by chance...or anyone else who reads this...have any idea of how to permanently solve this problem?

I wouldn't ask here, but, darn it...I want to see your dang pictures!

Thanks man!!...and sorry, no answer for ya. I think the problem is probably on your end though, I checked on 4 different devices that I have, and the pictures show up on all of them. Your the first person that's said they couldn't see them, and I upload all my pictures from right here in my profiles "My Pictures", so I really don't get the "unsecure server" thing???....Maybe someone else has a fix??

Cool bike, Rocker B. Looks great! I haven't read every page on this thread but I scanned looking for some hint about the stealthy front turn signals and didn't see anything jump at me. Do tell when you get a few minutes.

I've had a '08 sitting around in my shop collecting dust. Started to tinker with it this year, and I'm picking up interest in it. I suppose I'll keep on tinkering until I get somewhere with it.

Thanks a lot man, glad you like it!!!...The front run/turn lights are the "Amber" LED from Truflex. I bought them from Custom Dynamics, here's a link..https://www.customdynamics.com/amber-led-truflex

I used the the smallest available, they are 1.57"/ (5) LED lights, with the "Clear" tubes. They have several sizes, 2.17"/ (10) LED lights is the next size up and probably would have also worked, but I wanted them to be as "stealthy" as possible. You also need a couple of the "Dual Converters" that are sold separately, to go from your bikes (3) wire dual intensity system, to the (2) wire Truflex lights so they function as run/turn.

They are actually a little brighter in person then the pic shows, and when they're off they pretty much disappear!!
