Ok, so what you chopped on the rear fender is added on the front one! This way the fenders are balanced! Sounds absolutely reasonable!
Good job!

Fender and seat look **** hot on there, like a glove! I agree the wing on the fender should stay, it's apart of the curve to flow with the lines of the wheel. Cutting it off would just leave a straight edge that doesnt flow with the wheel

Hey while I'm in here, got a favour to ask. No hurry, but when you're out working on the rocker, could you please tell me the exact width from where the two up seat mounts to the frame on either side of the seat? I need them to be exact as I'm going to attempt to make some spacer blocks to make up the difference in dreams width between the rockers and 200 rear softails. I know no body around where I live with a rocker so this would be a massive help man

Thanks Ink!! and ya, still surprised how well that seat just happen to the fender!!....and no problem with the measurement....do you mean the width across, where the two-up pillion support bracket attached the frame? what would normally be the fender strut mounting horns?.... so two measurements, one across the front and one across the rear horns?? I just ground them off to fit the fender, but that amount could be added back on to the measurement I get....or the Breakout would be the same.

Well, today after looking at options for keeping the wires inside the fender, up tight, out of the way and protected, I decided to use a steel tube. I didn't like the larger plastic tubes like the one HD sells that has adhesive, or others that require mounting clips....So, I picked up two, steel brake lines at the auto parts store and ended up going with the smaller 5/16" line after making sure the wires and connectors would fit through it. I cut it down and shaped it to the inside curve of the fender and tomorrow I'll have it tack welded or braised in place.....The front fender is also supposed to show up tomorrow, so I should be all ready for paint, plan on dropping off the two fenders, chin spoiler and the seat brackets (decided to have them painted) at the painters on Wednesday....

You gunna have the painter undercoat those fenders after paint as well? It will protect the paint, especially in the front as the fender is pretty tight to the tire, so in case you suck up a rock or more commonly mud, it won't burn the paint before the tire kicks it back out. As well as it quiets down the sand/pebble/rock kick up noises quite a bit...?

IDK skid, hadn't thought about it...but I will.

Thanks....I made a couple of changes to the wire protector. I ended up using the 3/8" tube after all. I realized after opening the lights, that the wires they come with are too short to even make it to the front of the fender, let alone to the connector, so I'm gonna have to extend them. The 7 wires with the extensions and shrink tube will get a little fat, so I decided to go with the bigger tube. I also decided that welding it in place was over-kill, it's super light, so I attached it with two-part, steel JB Weld. I also had to enlarge the 3 holes in the fender that the wires from the lights feed thru because they weren't big enough for the connectors.....

.......and, the front fender arrived from Bitchin Seats late today, looks great!! I'll check the fit in the A.M. and (hopefully) post a pic installed!!
