Rocker B: MY ROCKER C MOD THREAD
#342
Got the wheels and (70t) pulley install finished up!! Only ran into one other small issue..... after getting back from a short test ride, I smelled burning rubber and noticed that the very center of the new 260 tire was rubbing slightly on the inside of the fender (you can see where in the last pic). I used 2 flat washers for spacers at the four mounting points and moved the fender up about an 1/8".....all good now!! I ended up going with 1.5" of drop in the back with the Progressive 422 shocks, the front is 1" lower after adding 1" with the 21" wheel, and dropping it 2" with the Progressive lowering/spring kit, I'm really glad that lowering it got rid of the gap between the seat and fender!!.... Still waiting on the matching A/C cover (it shipped today) and the front fender and chin spoiler should be installed in a week or two!!

Thanks man!! The Metz. 260 actually measures 247mm, the width is no problem.....also I figured out why the tire rubbed on the inside of the fender, the 70t pulley moves the wheel/tire forward about 3/8"-1/2". So you can install a 70t pulley, or a Metz 260 tire on a Rocker, but not the combo without raising the fender a bit, (or installing a longer belt)...
and......turns out my fix for raising the rear fender wont be needed for long....I went ahead and ordered a Thunderbike customs Rocker/Breakout steel 260 fender (with integrated taillight and turn signals). I've been going back and forth on weather to chop the stocker or replace it, and I decided the TB fender is the better way to go. I figured it would be best to get all the paint work done at the same time for the best match/results, so I'll wait until it shows up, and have it, the front fender and chin spoiler painted together....
A couple pics....

Ya, I was thinking about that.... I try to avoid riding in the rain, but I guess if there's even a chance of rain in the forecast, I'll be taking the Breakout .... LOL
