I hadn't cleaned it in the pic, not sure how it compares to others?? It's the first time off with almost 9k miles on it though.. and ya, it was pretty clean...

Yeah, I lifted the back by a half in addition to the front . Just wondering how you were going about it is all.

I wont have a Dakota Digital speedo/gauge before I do the open belt/trans pulley, it has that feature...plan on adding one when I figure out what I want to do with the center console?? So it would be hard to time it...but I'll sure let you know how much quicker it feels!!

Also....got more good news from Randy at SMW today...I really wanted to run a wider tire when I get the 21" front wheel, but I was finding almost no options for a 3.5" wheel that fits the Rockers narrow front end, the hubs are to wide. Skid pimp has the Rocker replica wheel in the 3.5" and it looks nice, but I really wanted something different...Well Randy came thru for me!! Like the 72t pulley, (when I thought I would try one), he told me he will build a wheel for me with the Rocker stock hub size in a 3.5"!!! ...So now I will be able to run a 120/70/21, with the wheels I wanted!!! which I'm sure will be a big handling improvement over the stock, skinny, 2.15" wheel and 90/90/19 tire, and I just think it looks better having a wider tire on a 21" wheel!!

Here's a 21"x3.5" wheel

I hit a bump in the road today, had to order a replacement set of bars.... Everything was goin good, I started down below and got the throttle, idle, clutch cables and brake line connected, then I moved up and bolted on the bars and was ready to fish the wires and install the controls, master cylinder, clutch perch, grips and mirrors, when I noticed the bars didn't look right...I took them off and laid them flat, and sure enough, they're tweaked!!! The replacements are supposed to be here by Mon. It wont take long to finish up when I get 'em, but I'm stuck till then...

I ended up pulling the rear exhaust...made it easier to get to the cover bolts when I changed the clutch cable...

Here's the arms from the 2" front tank lift kit from DK Customs installed on the tank, it comes with a longer tank mounting bolt and cross-over line also, but I'm gonna use a braided stainless line instead...

One thing to keep in mind (not sure if you're aware of it) the stock front wheel is not centered in the forks so if you get a different wheel you can keep it offset or they can set it up to be centered. I did the centered one because of using a different fender. I did also have to machine the caliper so it would line up with the new disc location.

RockerB- wow that sucks on the bars, hope they make it right. you know what's funny those look identical to the stock bars that came with my 2001 Big Dog chopper.

Nothing needed to be moddified with that tank riser? Heartland states that theirs won't fit with our stock bars. That true for this one too? Or would DKs fit using their 1.5"?
