Default RSD 150 rear fender

Been looking to change the ugly *** fender on my blackline since I bought it. Can't see paying the outrageous price heartland wants just for there 180 kits real $3000 for just a fender and seat. Noticed that RSD came out with a 150 rear fender kit for softail. Anyone used one yet and do you have ever to use their horrible seat or do other work with it already bought a Danny gray seat

You buy the RSD fender you get the terrible seat options that go with it no other seat will work...Buy a vintage seat and have it reworked or you can go to bitchin seats and pay 1200.00 for a seat...

Have you considered chopping a deluxe fender? This is a good option cause there is plenty of material to work with and you don't have to worry about it not bolting up and you can use your existing seat. Otherwise I would suggest buying a blank fender and cutting it to the look you want.

Also if it is a short fender you want cut the fender on the black line. The tools to cut a fender are a lot cheaper than buying an off the shelf one

I would chop your stock fender and re-mount to lower it in the struts an inch or two..that's what I did with mine before i took it off and did the wider rear wheel swap, made a huge difference on the stock set-up looks and I was able to keep the Danny Gray seat. Always got compliments on how it looked. Check my gallery for some pics if interested.

The aftermarket pre-cut fenders (Heartland/RSD)? No. You're better off cutting a factory fender that the Mustang seat fits already.
