I hope you guys can help me, I'm trying to find out how wide a 2003-2004 heritage softail rear fender is. Under the rear light. Want to see how much difference between the fatboy and heritage. Thanks for any help

Atomicar, Before @ 2006, the Fatboy and Heritage (and Deluxe except for tail light) fenders are interchangeable. Same 7 1/4" width. (I know I have swapped them).

Some years back Harley made the Fatboy rear fender MUCH wider. (@2006-7)?

You will not see this measurement on the parts diagram, you would see the part # change on the Fatboy rear fender by changing years: This might help:

Edit: This info is for 2005 to present bikes. I think there have been some changes prior to this I have not delt with.

Yes Heritage parts should fit, as long as you don't have the late model "ultra wide" Fatboy rear fender (and wide low profile rear tire).

I think they are the same then.

I KNOW for positive, the rear fender trim from a Deluxe will fit the Fatboy rear fender perfectly, you have to drill 3 holes. I did this for a rider so I would think the same for a Heritage rear fender trim.
