Hmm... wouldn't think those statements would go together

Doesn't an "04 night train" have Spring Tensioners?
If so, Wouldn't it be 1 wide groove as opposed to "there were 2 distinct grooves in the shoe"

But maybe I missed Sumtin' earlier

If it has the HD hybrid kit it would have a roller chain on the sprockets and the linked Morris chain in the chest.

This is roller at 90K..this is link especially if you bump oil pressure and the front at the same time on very low miles

^^^ That looks bad Ripsaw!

The reason I like the Cyco is it uses the same material as the tensioner on the primary chain and you never hear of those breaking.

My followers are looking fine from when I checked a few months ago but when I swap, I plan to use Cyco.

Yes, that would be a logical assumption if his description is accurate. No reason to doubt that at this point.

If it was a Hybrid Kit, the Primary would have the 2 grooves and the Secondary would have 1 wide groove. Just like what is shown in Post #23 above.

Maybe he describing the wrong shoe

Yup totally got those backwards. Mixed up which was which with em sitting on my workbench. My bad. O well. Maybe the next set will last longer but if they don't I'm ok with 20 bucks in gaskets and 25 in shoes in 4 or 5 years.

Did take a thin costco rubber glove and blow it up and run the outside of the chains over it and it didn't puncture it. So I don't think they have the sharp points people talk about.

Wasn't calling you out (not that you cared)...just thinking out loud (mental gymnastics)

Did you get adjustable pushrods or do you pull the valve covers?
