My "Part Install" Thread
#31
Well after 5k miles on the stock seat it is time for a change. I going change it up with a pogo style seat.
I found a really cool tuck and roll solo seat that matches my solo bag really well, but when I tried to install it on the "T" bar bracket it did not fit. So know I'm going to go with the Harley 1929 style tractor seat. I may make a cover for it since black leather in Las Vegas is a terrible combonation.
Here is the seat I wanted to use.

I will have to look at at that. Is your seat a Harley catalog seat?

Corbin-Gentry has quite a few selections (unlike harley) so you can get them
in brown/black and stitching styles of you choice. They're a bit (not much)
cheaper than Harley as well. Hightly recommend you d/l the V-Twin catalog
so you can decide what you like/dont like.

I have the bracket installed and when I tighten the base where the spring is, it seems to bind the "T bar" up some. For that I can just shim one side with a washer to fix that.....not sure if you ran into that same problem.

I had a hard time deciding on an exhaust.
1. I'm too cheap to spend $700+ on a full exhaust
2. I wanted something that looked a little different and had that "old school" look
What finally pushed me to order the exhaust was;
I was almost clipped when a driver did not see me as they were cutting across 3 lanes, then I had a driver pull out into my lane forcing me into on coming traffic then I was almost backed over in the parking lot.
This all happened on the same day, so needless to say I ordered the exhaust that night.
