The difference is everybody and there brother has a night train.
Ah crap did a search for something seen this thread was reading and commented on a old post sorry.

I dont care what you ride a train or a standard the only thing that matters is that piece on the tank that says Harley Davidson

The night train frames compared to a standard are alittle diferent depending on year. The forward controls are different also, not the mounting but the actual kickstand placement. The night train was not the first fx softail with a 200 tire, it was both the standard and the night train (06). other than that same rake, same length but a train is acouple grand more than a standard.

How many stock standards do you see? That's what makes them different from trains.......
We have to customize the hell out of them to make 'em look presentable!
