RE: How many miles do you get out of your rear tire?
I got 6500 on my rear tire it was a Dunlap and a 200... Of course it had a big chunk of metal in it!!! I am at another 6000 on the second Dunlap and it has probably another 5k? My front is a 21 (I have a Springer) I just replaced it and it had 11500. When my new wheels are installed Tuesday, I will be going with Metzeller ME880's F&R.

8900 miles on the original Deuce tire and it was hammered. The front was better, but not by much. I replaced the front with a Metzler ME880, and the back with a S.E.Deuce 180 Dunlop. Pilot error was involved. I was going by the max air pressure rating on the tire.....and then when I got the new skins on for some reason I had the wisdom to see what my service manual had to say about tire pressure. Substantially less than what I had been running, no wonder I wore the centers out early!

Wow,
I must be getting some special Dunlops because I am getting 18K out of the rear tire on my 05 Deluxe. I run the stock wide white walls. I am currently sitting at 35K on the odometer and I am not just thinking about getting the rear tire replaced. There is decent tread left (I do not wear them down to skins). The front tire is lasting twice as long. I have been on trips of 3000 miles and more over the past couple of years. I keep the tire pressures in front and back at 36 psi.
