Default 07 FLSTC w/new Rush 2" slip-fits.

I just had 2.00" Rush Baloney cut muffler added to my 07 Softail Clasic. I am being told by the HD dealer that I don't need to do anything to the air such as a SE stage 1 nor do I need to have it tuned (flashed). I have read several places here and am being told by another HD dealer that I DO need to have more airflow into the engine and need to flash the EFI. This is my first bike and I only have 300 miles on it and would hate to have it setup wrong.

Thanks for all the guidance.

If you open up the air breather then you will need a flash or fuel management module. If you leave the air breather stock you should be fine.

I put the same Rush baloney cut 2.0 on my 07 FatBoy and was told that nothing was needed.

Got 4,000 kms on her and she's fine.

You will be fine just the way it is. I have the same bike and my dealer told me that I had to update the EFI and then he told me a few months later that I did not have to do the update if I would of left theS/E air alone. By then I already spent more money then I wanted to when I. Have fun with your new sound

Why am I the only guy with 2 1/4" slipons?
I think I'll go in today and order the 2".

Mines sounds great but it's a little loud for me.
I'm afraid of giving some little old lady a heart attack when I pass her.

Hey Texas,

I have the 2.25's and they sound great. Not too loud for me and I live out in the country so the noise doesn't bother anybody.

Just curious how these would have compared to the SE2's in sound and volume?
