We demo'd the Sundowner and the Signature Series.
We liked them both so I started e-bay and craigslist shopping.
I found a Signature Series seat on craigslist in North Carolina and convinced the guy to ship it to me.
Paid $250 delivered.
Both seats seem to lower me a bit and move me forward about an inch which isn't an issue with me. (short legs).
Along with a Road Zeppelin passenger air pad my Wife loves the seat.
As for my seat I think it rides as good as the stock seat but the back rest is really nice.
Start e-bay and craigslist shopping and perhaps that will lead you to what to buy.

If you are talking about the Stock Heritage Pillion seat that your Wife is not happy with then I'll agree with her....
My wife has a really bad tailbone the the stock pillion seat SUCK's big time...
Our fix was I bought her the touring oversize pillion seat and it made all the diff in the world..
My wife is 5'4'' and 120lbs, but the the touring seat is about 4 ins wider and 2 ins higher. The bigger seat, more foam, now allows her to ride till she gets tired (usually 3-4 hrs without any pain now), instead of hurting after about 30 mins into a ride...

for us it was well worth the money and it's worth looking at,, as for me, I love the Stock front Heritage seat for me...
If you want to make it even better for your wife as I did mine, Look into the oversized Sissy bar pad and Floorboards..
When I made those three mods for the wife her overall comfort level was Greatly improved and new she loves sitting back there for an afternoon of riding..

This acted like a slide for my Wife whenever I braked.
Also, because of the slope the slight lower back support that the stock pillion provides is no longer.
