After cutting the fender, I ground it smooth with an abrasive flap 3M pad on a 90 degree angle grinder, and then touched up/ painted the edge black with a brush. It looks great, but you don't see much since the license plate covers most of it.

Looked kind of like this, but mine is completely covered...No metal shows so it looks more like a mushroom top.

Stock Slim headers with Paughco slip on mufflers, V&H FP3 tune. They sound GREAT!

I can see the bike is lowered -- have you used a kit or using air ride? If air ride, can you post a pic of what it looks like when raised to ride height (or stock)?

Here's a chopped fender from a company call zodiac in Europe that my local dealer put on a customers bike.

Radianzt sidefirez tail light. The bike is lowered but not that much. I moved the strut holes to help lower the fender onto the tire, can't say exactly how much as they are nowhere near the stock location. I have had automobiles and bikes with air ride and I do not care for it. Do not like the feel of the ride, would rather ride than play with air adjustment, and it would suck to be 400 miles from home when the air system fails...and it will eventually fail.
Progressive 422 shocks lowered about one inch. Rebound is adjusted just tight enough to keep my 225 lbs off the tire. Ride is not harsh or bouncy for me. Stock ride was mushy IMO but I am used to a hardtail.
Plenty of fender clearance, the led strip helps fill some of the gap.

I will also add that I grew up in a family owned body shop and did the work myself. A lot of hours were put into the fender and it would have been cheaper to buy an aftermarket fender if one had to pay for the labor cost.

You did a really great job on this. Can you still fit stock seats on it? I'd really like to do this mod, but I still want to be able to put a proper touring seat on if I double the girlfriend for longer distances. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. The stock Slim seat would have actually worked with minimal modification but I did not like the way it looked with this set up. Ended up using a Le Pera bare bones seat that I found on the forum. I relocated the strut holes which caused the fender to sit lower in the struts, this forced me to modify the front seat bracket and fabricate a new rear bracket for proper fitment.

Standing proud. Love the tank lift and rake. And that fender is the icing on the cake
