Default eBay Saddlebags - Let's See Them

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the process of researching a quality set of hard saddlebags for my Deluxe without breaking the bank. I'm also considering getting a set of RKC bags, but want to get input first from anyone out there who has purchased a set of hard bags from eBay. They're all over eBay, but for some reason I couldn't find a thread here in the forum dedicated to those who have purchased a set. So, for those of you who have, are you happy with them? Are they in any way similar to stock Harley touring bags? Any other input is appreciated (photos are always a plus)...I'm not looking for perfect, just good quality at a decent price. I can't spend a grand+ on bags right now.

Thanks everyone...I look forward to your comments. I know there has to be at least a couple dozen of you out there who have risked-it and bought some eBay hard bags!

I'm curious as well. The ebay ones look good and reasonably priced but their site doesn't show any for my '13 HSC, not sure why. At least the conversion brackets are compatible with my bike so it's a start.

No experience with the RKC bags, but if you post a link, we can better idea of what you're speaking of. There's tons of bags on eBay and all low priced..

There are several sellers offering bags that are the same dimensions as OEM HD Street Glide bags. $300 or so sounds like a great deal for a set of hard bags and conversion brackets (includes latch hardware also). Here's a recent link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/321824049285...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Here's a link to a set on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OM3EXQI?colid=UW5BMESCKJDQ&coliid=I17XL948J0IA4A&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OM3EXQI?colid=UW5BMESCKJDQ&coliid=I17XL948J0IA4A&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl

I'm wondering if anyone here on the forum has purchased a set of similar bags and found them to be a good value.

I got mine off of eBay for my fat boy lo from Colton Customs - bags, lids, hardware and conversion bracket was $500.00 - pretty painless transaction - installing the hardware was the toughest part since no directions were included but you can google it and find some...

Got mine off Amazon from SanJoseMoto. I have never compared them to factory bags, so I couldn't tell you the difference. They serve my purpose. They have many colors available. I got black pearl. It is not an exact match, but you can't tell going down the freeway. I think I paid under $300 for the bags. Hardware was extra.

Ebay bags on my 91 fatboy for 250$ came in black ABS. looked great and look even better since i had them painted. Latch kit came with the bags and works fine. i swapped out the latch covers and everything matches with common parts
