Default 21x 2.15 Fat spokes Wheel Tire

Guys,

Have Heritage Classic Softail,

I search for topics but couldn't find an answer. I am about to buy front 21'' Wheel 3.5'' size and looking to solve an issue with the tire choice.

I have mh90 - 21 tire and don't really know if i can install this tire on 3.5'' wheel?

If it will be trouble, then will go with 2.15'' wheel choice as its ok for MH90 tire.

In this case dont really know if it will be to slim looking on the Heritage, and if anyone have the same 2.15'', how is the handling of the bike?

In all honesty, I would purchase a 120/70/21 vee or Avon WW. I would NOT put a 90/21 on a 3.5 wheel.

A 2.15" wide rim is designed for an 80/90/21 or a 90/90/21. On a 3.5" wide rim you need to run a 120/70/21 tire. A wider rim and tire is the way to go unless you want a squirrely front end.

As i see, there is many people also who install 90/90/21 tires on 3.0'' or 3.5'' wheels

The point is that in my Country there is no way to get 120/70/21 tire. Only online. And it will cost hell of money!

I do have 90/90/21 new WW, and really now thinking to get 3.0'' wheel and put it on.

I choose the 21x3 wheel over the 21x3.5 wheel on my Heritage because I wanted to be able to run a 90/90-21 or a 120/70-21 tire. Like CountryD said, I also wouldn't stretch a 90/90 on a 3.5" wheel. Aesthetically speaking, I wouldn't go ANY narrower than 3.0" with the wheel itself, the fender is just too wide for a 21x2.15" wheel in my opinion. I've seen a few but they just didn't look right to me.

The main issues I've heard about in regards to running the 80/90 or 90/90 tire on a 3.5" wheel is there isn't enough sidewall of the tire to absorb bumps in the road and the risk of bending the wheel will be much higher because of that.

And do you have 90/90 tire now on 21x3.0 wheel?

I'm currently running a 120/70-21 but when this tire wears out I'm going to try the 90/90-21. I like the 120/70 but it's got alittle more sidewall bulge to the tire on the 3.0" wheel than I wanted. Most people probably wouldn't even notice to be honest.

Brother, I understand about pricing, but also take into consideration safety. The 2.15 wheel is WAY TOO SKINNY for the fender. If you have to go with the 3.0 rim

with my prior 2 sets of wheels ... front was a 21 x 3 and i ran a 90/90/21 for 6 yrs. between the 2 sets... STRETCHEEED on..... My wheels were tacoed in a couple spots. from potholes with the sizing i had....with 1 major one that made me nervous.. it was HUGE! this time around with my current 21 x 3.5 .... the 120/70 rides like a whole different bike.. CRAZY the difference sizing makes with a tire! I wished they made a WW 6 yrs ago. in a 120/70... well metz or avon... that would have saved me some serious $$$ on 3 sets of wheels

The 2.15 is way to skinny. You're asking for trouble if you get that size wheel
