Default Looking at se nod bike-softail -help?

Ok so here's th tal, there's a big mouth at work and he said i guy that comes into ours store has either a heritage or a springer for sale....its a 2004, has around 9000 miles and is dead mint....his price is very low in my mind so it sounds like a basket case....

Anyway not being an expert it has to be either a heritage softail or a softail springer....this guy knows nothing about bikes really but he said he knows it's not a heritage springer.....I found out where the guy lives but he wasn't home....anyway I'm trying to track down this guy to go look at it

Can anyway tell me a little what to look out for etc....he said it just got new tires fluids etc, any problems with the year 2004 in general....does anyone know if it would be carb or fuel injected, size motor etc.....I have always liked th ebay springer front ends look....any idea about low to high values in general.....I'm itchin to go see this thing....my wife is gonna kill me if I buy it but wtf....ryan

2004 bike is going to be a carbed 88 engine, main possible problem is the tensioner shoes wearing out or breaking up prematurely, some do some dont they need checking around 20,000 miles to be on the safe side to see how they're wearing.

Btw Harleys did make a Springer Heritige bike but it was the year before an anniversary model, if its one of those it could quite rare.

2004 only had a Springer Softail in the lineup.

Heritage Springer was discoed in 2003, and the FL Springer Classic came out in 05-07

Stock motor is the 88. It could be either carb or FI. Both were an option.

Neither is rare or sought after, so I'm thinking the value is $7-9K

Hspring03 is correct FI was an option on the 2004 bikes, unlike now you don't get a choice.
