[QUOTE=WKNDS;14861752]Not sure this is the "place" to add this, but I've started the "flat" to frame/no ECM cover
mod to really make the pogo seat seam to "float" out over the rear frame/fender
like the "old' Knuck/Panheads of the past.

The part that really leaves gaps is by the struts since the fender is so narrow.
Here's some pics of the initial progress, more filler towards the struts will follow.
Plan is to hide the rear taillight connectors underneath this piece as well.

WKNDS, THIS IS AWESOME!

Why not continue the rear fender on down in place of the plastic splash guard for a true Knuck/ Panhead look?

The biggest reason is because that part moves with the swingarm on a softail...

It sure does, it hooks on the upper fork and bolts to the lower fork. By the way, I used to have fits getting the panel hooked on the upper fork until I realized i could remove one screw from the computer pan, pull the pan forward and reach down and hook the panel easily. Duh.

WKNDS where are you putting the computer in this setup?

Excellent WKNDS, that is where I was thinking you could put it. I have my charcoal canister in that area.

I thought about that after I wrote it... You are correct. (I was thinking of the strut less shade tree type of hugger rear fender).

But you could paint the plastic splash guard to match the rear fender...

I saw a red Deluxe that did this and it looked fantastic, wish I had taken a photo. He even matched the pin stripe.

GREAT JOB!!!

I was told you could not do this if you have Anti Lock brakes, I knew I should have tried anyway!!!

I think you should wrap the 'puter in a ziplock bag though, no?

Joe, I wondered how you ever got the charcoal canister mounted... The stock location up and behind the transmission is impossible to mount without removing the trans, I believe.

Default The "no hump" look

I think StinkerBill's Grey Bike bike looks good too.

WKNDS is going for the "Hardtail" look, with no "hump" under the seat.

Something like mine, I hope. I can't wait to see his pogo seat with a flush frame cover like mine:

Edit, I want to paint my plastic splash guard gloss black to match the rear fender.
