Ride Write Exotica-196318_10206302834343900_4993939840647594405_n-1-.jpg
My new wheels are in... Ride Write "Exoticas" 21 x 3.5's front 16 x 3.5 rear... with Avon Cobra 120/70/21 front + 150/80/16 rear.

Notice center of wheels are smooth. No center rise. I'll post a pic as soon as i install them.

I've hit a few pot holes with my prior DNA's running a stretched on 90/90/21 tire. And they are taco'ed bent... So it was time to buy again.

don't the big wheel guys worry about that, when having such a huge wheel with less air and a thinner tire. don't they worry about the rim bending?

Yea my old DNA's are crazy bent.... i'll post a pic of them also when i do the swap out. I've hit some pot holes pretty hard a couple times. I have a set of Metzeler tires with about 300 miles on them. 90/90/21 + 150/16 rear. Saw that Avon makes a 120/70/21. So grabbed them so maybe with a bigger tire up front. I hope i wont have a bent wheel again. Wheels are pricey to replace!

Sharp looking wheels. Make sure and post up some pictures when you get them installed.

Another option for a completely smooth lip with no step at all is the Sinister Big Phat Daddy for those who are not aware of this.

They take a smooth lip wheel blank and cut out the center, drill and harden it, chrome or powder coat and then lace the spokes in. Not inexpensive but a super clean look for those who are extremely particular about their wheels.

Hope you have better luck with yours then I did with mine. First front wheel they sent me had the wrong bearings in it. Took a week for them to send abs bearings. Then after getting it mounted we noticed the lip had a bend in it. 2weeks to send another wheel. Got it mounted up and 2 miles down the road abs light comes on. Guess what wrong bearings again. Bike has been in the shop for the last 3 days waiting on bearings from them. Beautiful wheels but I must say I'm a little disappointed in the lack of quality control. From all the reviews I read that convinced me to spend the extra money on RW wheels I expected a lot more from them.

Your wheels look great by the way can't wait to see em mounted up
