Default Whats this drain plug for?

I have a 2005 softail.I seen a plug on the right side of bike about 6" in front of the shocks.I looked in my service manual and didn't see anything about it.Just wondering what is for.

Are you talking about the bottom of the frame? at the back? if so its the oil plug. If not idk??

I though I read somewhere that some models have a sump/crank case drain but I could be wrong.

That's where the Flux Capacitor is hidden.

That sounds like the sump plug. DO NOT REMOVE UNLESS IT'S AN EMERGENCY!

The risk of cracking the case is great.

DITTO---- Do not remove that one
Several in here had really messed up their engine Cases by removing that plug...

Just wondering what that emergency would be. Anybody know why its there and when it's used?? When I first got my Rocker C (not knowing better) I pulled it and there was about 6 oz. aprx. of good looking oil in there, figuring it should be there I used a turkey baster and put it back?? Glad I didn't crack the case!!
