gotcha, yeah i have the back seat too. but hey, don't keep that bib on to much. when i bought my super glide the previous owner had it on so much it discolored the paint on the fender, i either had to keep it on or put the seat on to hide the marks. no matter what i did, waxing or cleaning it never shined again

The bike comes with a piece of peel-off plastic that isolates the fender from contact with either the bib or the rear seat. Sounds like the previous owner of yours rather unwisely peeled it off. No worries; probably better to have the seat on anyway.

i peeled mine off my fatboy lo, it's looks horrible on there, especially when it gets dirty and starts to yellow

I rode an hour each way yesterday on the highway. I just realized I didn't even notice the seat which means it's damn good. No wriggling and re-adjusting. Love the backrest when kicking back with feet on the highway pegs.

I use the backrest all the time. It especially is nice on a longer ride when, as Lauren says, you can put your feet up on the highway pegs and lean into the backrest.
