Cool

Well... took much longer than I expected because on the bottom muffler, the holes would not align to the holes in the bracket... had to make the holes in the bracket a bit larger to get them to work...

But these are now installed! Too late to give them a run... will do that tomorrow. Also, left the ABS sensor to install tomorrow as well...

First, what the stock pipe looks like...

And the Rush...

that is all for tonight

Those bottom holes in the bracket are enough to drive the most talented mechanic insane. I drilled the bracket a little over sized to make it work too.

I did mine different than you, I took off the mufflers and drilled those little pop rivets out and just yanked the entire inside of the muffler out. The bike was very loud, in fact, a thunderheader quieted it down significantly.

My first thought was to do just that... remove the inside from the stock and then find a set of baffles to slip in... That is exactly what I did with my RGC and RK and some Fullsac baffles... But for the Slim S I could not find information on what baffles would work... that is why I went with the Rush...

Anyway, they are mounted. Will take the bike for a ride after I get back home from work...

I thought about leaving them off... but I like the looks of it with the shields on. Always liked the stock look of the exhaust on this bike.

The heat shield itself doesn't bother me, it is the ugly bands that they use to mount them that you can still see.

Not sure. I thought it was the other way around.
