Default Moisture In Speedometer Lens

My 2010 Heritage Softail Classic has only 6k. miles and has moisture in the speedometer lens that keeps fogging up the lower part of the lens when the bike is out in the sun. Has anyone had this problem ? Is there a fix ?

It's a common problem and there is nothing you can really do about it

This seems to be more common than you would think.

My 07 Street Bob did it to the point that it left a permanent fog on the underside. HD would not warranty it. So far my 2014 Fat Boy Lo has not done this yet.
The only way I could totally remedy it was to replace the HD speedo with a Dakota Digital speedo.

I get this sometimes with my Heritage. It sounds like it something that we all have to live with.

Common occurrence and equally common question. Some have tried a silicone seal with some moisture/fogging issues on their gauges without success. When the temp, humidity, and convergence are aligned it's just gonna happen (sometimes).

I swear there's no rhyme or reason behind it too.

Well, there is. It's just poor HD quality!

DO NOT try sealing with silicon or any other type of sealant.

Here's a link showing how to open a speedo for many reasons.
One reason might be to clean water marks from the inside of the glass.

My 04 fxdl did it from time to time. As said, it seemed to happen when sitting in the sun.
