I have 12K on my Fat Boy...stock Dunlops...half of those miles have been 2-up (315 lbs - both riders)...the front is better than the rear...I can probably squeeze another 5K safely...

I ride in PA and NJ...

Maybe your sleepwalking and doing burnouts...!!!

I just hanged my stock tires today at 5500 on my Heritage. The back tire was getting wore and I was heading to the beach Monday so I bit the bullet and got me a new set of White Walls.

I just ordered a set of Metzeler 880's White walls. I only get about 6000 out of a rear dunlop. I hope the Metzelers are better

I went to Metzeler after about 6000 and a bald rear on my Dunlops so far I am very happy.

Tire wear that rapid can't be right. My Deluxe got 18K on the rear tire and nearly 30K on the front before I had to change them. The fastest tire wear seems to come from the touring bikes especially for those who ride 2 up. My buddies report that they get 10-12K from their Dunlops.
What he said. 5K out of a tire is a sign of something wrong somewhere--inflation, alignment, something. I've got 7K on the dunlops that came on my bike and they have plenty of tread left, and that's been my experience with them. If I got less than 10K out of a rear dunlop I would be very surprised.

Getting ready to change my rear over. Just hit 19,000 on my 06 deluxe. Front still good. What make is the stock WW that comes on the deluxe?
