Default Should I cut my new Longride widshield?

I have a 15 Slim I got a detachable windshield. I got a HD detachable windshield. I then got a 16 Long Ride recurve windshield. I am around 5'7. The top of the windshield I in my line of site. I am not to sure how small of a shield I should have? Do I cut my Long Ride shield? I know it will eliminate the recurve on the shield. Or are there better options? I already installed the shield so I can't return it.

My Klockwerks shield is about an inch above my line of site and after a while I got used to it.
My Wife likes it because it deflects more air above her head.

I wouldn't cut it.
Instead of cutting it you could probably sell it and buy a shorter standard shield and even pocket some cash.

I'm the same height as you. Have the 15" LRS. While I would still like it about an inch shorter, I've gotten used to it now. Only time it's really line of sight is in hills. Flat roads and freeways I see over it. I could see where 16" would be problematic. Sell it and get a 15".

I put it back on bike to see if I can get used to it. I got the 16 which is the shortest one.

Don't cut it or you will lose the whole idea of the "re-curve" design.

I cut it to chin height and I'm glad I did. Quieter, better view, no more dirt and raindrops blocking ny view. And it looks way cooler too!

I bought the Harley shield for mine. It was too tall as I had to look through it. I went for the shorter one and now it is so that I look just over it. Much improved. I never run it until it gets cold out. I hate windshields.

I threw it on last night. It is right in my line of sight. If I had to get used to it I could. But I find myself either crouching down or pushing myself up. I want it for longer rides or when temps drop.

If you had the quick mounts you could move it down on the tubes until it hit the headlight.

I'm also 5'7" and I can see over mine just fine.
Same setup too, H-D quick-detach with a 16" LRS Recurve screen.
I had that issue with the stock 18" shield - right in my line of sight.

FWIW, I have the quick-detach model that's used for bikes WITH auxiliary lights.
I wonder if that makes any slight difference, mounting or height-wise...?
