I am also running a 21" front and 16" rear on my Deluxe. I have the Progressive Monotubes set 1" lower than stock and may go to 2" when I get the bike back off the lift if I am not happy with the stance. A 2" drop in the front will leave very little travel and ride like a rock though. What we really need is a damn tire company to make a 18" wide white wall for us to help the overall look of our bikes. I know Vee Rubber does but with all the horror stories, the lack of decent wear and what I have seen come through my shop I won't even consider one.

Have you ridden it with the front lowered 2"? Mine is lowered 2 and half inches and it rides fine with the Progressive drop ins... wasn't hard to do. I lowered it 2" at first and then one week later dropped it another 1/2" by myself in less than an hour. I've put alittle over 2600k miles on it since I lowered the bike back in May on back country roads, interstates, highways, etc and have only bottomed out one time. It jarred me pretty damn hard, which is why I remember it's the only time it has actually bottomed out.

When I did the 21 on my Road King, I also dropped the front. I would never drop the front the full two inches out of fear I would whack into the tree's. If I DID go two inches up front, I would for sure add heavy oil for safety. It won't ride as smooth, but it helps prevent fender to tree carnage.
