I have never had boards before either. Heck I have never had a Harley before. During the test rides, I really enjoyed having all the different foot placements with the boards. At least you won't have to worry about them scraping.

My Olive Slim S finally arrived, after riding it for the past few days I must say that I am not a fan of the heel shifter. I'm going to get it a few more miles before I remove it, who know I may change my mind.

Mine was gone after a few days. It didn't work well with my size 14 boots.

Mine went after the ride home from the dealer.

I only use the front to shift into first and down shift. Did need an extended rear lever though as my foot needed mrr room. Its a personal thing. Not everyone like them

I found changing the positions of the lever, toe to the outside and heel to the inside allowed my foot more room, and for me a more natural position.
Personally I wouldn't be without the heel shifter, my foot and leg are in less than stellar shape.

Each to their own, you need to be comfortable.

I was absolutely taking it off when I took my test ride, actally kind of scared me because I've never rode a bike with heel toe shifter. After about 100 miles or so on the bike and getting more familiar with it around town, I love the heel toe shifter and it's here to stay on my bike.

Do like jackAfrica and switch them if you like. I did as well a while ago. Found it more functional
