Loving my '17 Fatboy S. Best bike I've ever owned. Only drawback is the heat from that beast Screamin Eagle 110. Have any of you guys dealt with that? I'll get around to putting an oil cooler on it pretty soon, and I'm also thinking about a Lenare fan. Anybody tried either or both of those? Yea or nay?

Congrats on the cool ride!

I have had heat when it was bone-stock and did a couple things to help it, you can read what I have done to mitigate the temps here under "My Modifications": mysoftailslim.wordpress.com

WardsWerks fans (which are not available anymore).

LoveJugs has their mini-mites that appear to be almost a clone of them.

Yeah, I've looked around at a lot of cooling fans. I like the Lenares (that spelling is close I think) because they're the most unobtrusive, taking the place of the horn. They're also cheaper and they get mostly good reviews.

TMAC00333:

Here is the link to my mods page:
https://mysoftailslim.wordpress.com/...modifications/

The Wards Werks Fans and Vance & Hines FP3 tuner helped bring the head temps down.
You are correct, Wards Werks is no longer selling fans, but the Love Jugs has the same form factor.

Just an opinion, but you have impaired the FCS functionality when you added the Accel COP system since
it blocks the airflow channels through the head - which is what the FCS was designed to utilize.
See this thread, stated in post 89 by fabrik8r on the issue;

hth,

T.
I use my cell phone mounted to the bars with the FP3 monitoring head temps as I ride, since adding the coils packs, the head temps have not changed; (235° on a hot day). So if it is restricting the air flow; it is not increasing the head temps - I'm not worried about it.
