+1, might as well remove the stock muffler and put on some Rush slip-ons.
I have no idea if this is an issue in the NY area, but here in TX, no problems.
If theres an issue in NY, just switch them for stock when its inspection time (yeah, what a pain)

Just make sure you dont have leaks, that'll drive the O2 sensors crazy....

good luck,

Thanks for the info, I live in Australia and yeah the police are pretty hot on about noise on bikes. We don't have to take our bikes every year to get inspected in most some states thank god, other wise there would be a lot of non road compliant bikes down under

I finally got to put some miles on my new 2017 FLSS. I bought her from the dealership in March but was only able to lay eyes on her in August while home from Afghanistan. I made some changes to make her mine and still have a couple more minor things to do on my next trip home but overall, I'm very happy with her. She's definitely an eye catcher as I received comments at every fuel stop and rest break.

Congratulations on your purchase. I have a 2016 in the same colour. Like you say, it is a real head turner. I have the same windshield and would highly recommend you get those those chrome windshield brackets black powder coated.

Thanks Sticks24,
I still have a few minor things to do to her, including powder-coating a few parts. including the windshield brackets.

Congrats on the bike , looks good. How do you like the windshield , does it take away most of wind blast/buffetting ? Im thinking of buying the same one for my fatboy. Is it the HD windsplitter?

Yes, it is the HD Windsplitter windshield and yes, it does lessen the Head buffeting, at least in my opinion. The center vent lets you adjust the wind flow as you wish. Pretty nice actually. Quick detach allows it to be on or off in less than a minute.

Default External Breather

Made a new breather set up for the slim S, blends in nicely me thinks.

With the over on.
