Trying to get my pipes a little quieter so pulled the baffles out & was surprised as i thought they were putting V&H quiet baffles in ! Don't look like the quiet baffles to me, I'm not sure what they are off & think they may have been altered.
Anyway I've got a pair of the quiet baffles so decided to put the wrapping on these baffles, but tbh I'm sure they are louder now ??

I do not think just taking the wrapping off of a quite baffle from V&H and putting on a different baffle will work. I put V&H slip on's with the quiet baffles on my wife's bike a few weeks ago. When I looked, the quiet baffle obviously has a massive amount of wrapping on it. But the baffle itself (the little slots cut into the metal pipe) was cut way different. Pretty clear there was engineering involved in this. Not just adding a bunch of wrapping makes a quite baffle. Her pipes are quiter than my stock V&H pipes. But they have a real nice deep rumble to them. Actually had my dealer do the work, a real pain in the butt to get the quite baffles installed.

There's not a good object for 'size reference' in the picture, but I think
the 'quiet' baffles are longer and better insulated(wrapped).

Default 7300+ miles...

I have put just over 7300+ miles without one single problem or even a drip of oil; what an impressive machine! I love my Softail Slim S!

Thanks, I agree! I bought the bike from Harley of Charlotte with the handlebars already on there. To be honest I dont know anything about them. I will try to track that information down. But yes, it needed new cables and brake lines.
