Can't you guys just take this to the flag pole by the parking lot at 15:00 and E-fight it out instead of fouling up this thread.

Just my $0.02

You're right. Apologies for my contribution to the fouling.

On a different note, my bike is 1 year old as of August 31st. Just over 10,000 miles, second set of tires, services done on schedule.

The only problems:
- apparently the horn quit working at some point. I didn't know it because I rarely use it. The shop found it when I was in for tires at about 7500 miles. Replaced on warranty of course.
- my spokes in the rear wheel were getting loose at the 5k service. I took it in and had the shop true it up and tighten everything under warranty. They've stayed tight since.
- the aforementioned starter grinding sound that periodically pops up.

Other than these things, the bike has performed very well. Additionally, I'm very pleased with Softail performance as a whole. It's the first Softail I've owned after several other varieties of HD from different eras. Although it isn't as sporty as a Dyna can be, it's a more refined package.
I say can be because Dyna's come stock with crap for suspension. One has to make them better with aftermarket suspension. I suppose some of the '16 and '17 models have some improved hardware.

I had my 5k service done this weekend, and so far I have only had an issue with the clutch (hard to put the trans in "N" when the engine was running), once I got the recall done (about 1500 miles ago) everything has worked perfectly. Loving the bike more and more each day.

Tuning only or are you adding additional performance components?
