I'm new to Harley but my buddy just said this about his dad's road king classic. Makes me worry that I should've bought the 2500 dollar extended warranty.

"dad’s trans went out on his 2003 and the guy mentioned that he was surprised it made it past 40k, that guy was saying that 1 out of 10 he sees makes it past 40k on the trans"

Fuel Moto just sent me a map for V&H Big shots/Arlen Ness big sucker for the Power Vision

Thanks SLV love your setup also btw. I do love this bike and you are absolutely right about the versatility of the Slim. I do have a question for you - did you need to remap your tune for the rush muffler swap? Thanks again.

It's debatable. Some will argue that the ECM will learn the new settings. My opinion is that a tune is more than air and fuel.

I tuned my Slim S with my PV before I ever added the slip-ons. Just tuning the stock bike made the power delivery much smoother across the board. Needless to say, I tuned it immediately after installing the slip-ons, so I don't have a comparison.

The whole "learning" thing doesn't fully jive with me. HD sells us a bike with a lean tune, but it doesn't learn to be less lean on a stock bike. Why would it learn to be less lean just because a new exhaust or intake is installed.

My money goes to tuning the bike when exhaust or intake flow rates are changed.

Congrats. The Fatboy is already a great bike, the S model is just greater. What's a Cruise Arm?

I'm going through the process of an auto tune with my power vision, it's a learning curve alright! The first run didn't quite go to plan as when I got home it hadn't registered anything, prob not a good idea having it in my pannier bag, so I've just ordered a handlebar mount so I can see what's going on, sure I'll get there in the end.

What would unbolting the mufflers do besides be pretty loud? Would it run worse or better?
