how long ago did you buy the fatboy, did it have a lot of miles on it, do you ride it more or less than your deluxe?

I bought it new in July 2003. It is my first HD. It's got about 17k or so miles on it.

I ride my Road King most, followed by the Deluxe and then the FatBoy. FatBoy's really a "me" bike but for about 3 years it was my only bike and my wife and I rode it a lot. It's been to Sturgis and Myrtle Beach Bike week. I didn't really know some of the comforts of other bikes (windshield, radio, etc.) until after I bought my first touring bike in 2006. Then it took a back seat to the practicality of other bikes I've had through the years but I can never seem to bring myself to part with it. Sentimental I guess...

and the fact that it's gorgeous. i see a lot of guys with older fatboy's and they still ride them. just from my previous bikes with the exception of one, i've only owned them all for about 2 years. one i owned for 5. but since i bought my now2012 fatboy, it's my dream bike, always liked them and wanted one. i love the way it rides and can't see myself ever wanting to part with it. just wonder how long the bike itself will last. still see older ones on the road, which is why i was asking. appreciate the info Sir

Xmen and Pcoder, those are some seriously nice bikes!

Oddly, Harley does not do white very often, but when they do it looks spectacular.

Of course nothing beats Vivid Black!
