Im thinking about removing the nacelle and standard fatboy headlamp and replacing it with a bullet style, similar to the one found on some night trains. Has anyone done anything similar?

I'd love to see some pics of this so I can see if its what I really want before I dump a bunch of $$ into this.

I've seen it done without the bullet lamp using the oem lamp. I didn't care for it. Front end of the bike is to big and the parts under the chrome covers aren't pretty to look at because they are unfinished. You should take the covers off and see if you like the look.

 

that's what I did to my slim. Pretty sure they have the exact same front end, just different paint/finish on the nacelle.

It'll look like crap IMO unless you change the triple trees also.

 

Yeah, the triple trees dont match on mine. The top is chrome and the bottom is finished in black because its hidden behind the nacelle so I would have to change one or the other.

You have a clean look going there though. Internally wired handlebars?
